This Privacy Policy explains how Contract Guy (“Contract Guy,†“we,†“us,†or “ourâ€) handles information when you use contractguyapp.com, app.contractguyapp.com, and related Contract Guy services (together, the “Serviceâ€).
1. Information we process
Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:
- Account information, such as your name, email address, authentication information, and account status.
- Business profile information, such as business contact details, location and service area, industry information, MC or DOT numbers, and insurance-related details you choose to provide.
- Contract and marketplace information, including private contract postings, applications, applicant information, status updates, and related activity.
- Documents and analysis information, including contract documents you upload, extracted document text, analysis results, and saved analysis history.
- Search and opportunity activity, such as searches, filters, results you review, and interactions with grants, funding resources, training programs, business opportunities, or contracts.
- Technical and usage information, such as IP address, device or browser type, timestamps, diagnostic information, and security events ordinarily generated when you use an online service.
- Communications, including messages you send to our support address.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide and operate the Service; create and secure accounts; display and manage profiles, postings and applications; process uploaded documents and provide requested AI-assisted analysis; return and improve opportunity results; provide support; detect misuse or security issues; maintain reliability; and comply with applicable obligations.
3. AI-assisted document processing
When you request document analysis, Contract Guy processes the document and its text to generate informational results. Do not upload documents you are not authorized to use or information that is unnecessary for the analysis. AI-generated information may be incomplete or incorrect and is not legal advice.
4. Opportunity sources and external links
The Service may display information from government, workforce, funding, training, business, or other third-party sources and may link to their websites. Those third parties control their own sites and privacy practices. Review their privacy notices before providing information directly to them.
5. When information may be disclosed
Information may be made available to other users when you use marketplace features—for example, when you publish a contract opportunity or submit an application. We may also disclose information to service providers that support hosting, storage, security, document processing, communications, and operation of the Service; when required by law or valid legal process; to protect rights, safety, security, and the integrity of the Service; or in connection with a business reorganization or transfer, subject to applicable requirements. We do not state that private account or uploaded-document information is public unless you choose to share it through a Service feature.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain account and transaction history, meet security and operational needs, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable obligations. Retention may vary by information type and the reason it is processed.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for protecting your account credentials.
8. Your choices
You may choose not to provide optional profile information. You may contact us to ask about accessing, correcting, or deleting account-related information. Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, recordkeeping, legal compliance, or the rights of other users.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service when appropriate.
